How Does Halotherapy Work?
Pharmaceutical grade salt is ground into microscopic particles by a state of the art halogenerator and then dispersed into the air. The salt is then inhaled to reduce inflammation, widen the airways, accelerate mucus transport, soak up and eliminate toxins and allergens and strengthen the immune system. Dry salt cleanses and purifies, thereby increasing the overall oxygen exchange in the body. It removes the buildup of foreign elements from the respiratory tract that lead to various respiratory conditions. The non-inhaled particles landing on the skin help to balance the ph and induce the reparative and regenerate processes in the derma, increasing rigidity and stimulating cell growth and micro circulation.

Where Does Dry Salt Therapy (Halotherapy) Come From?
From the beginning of time, the beneficial properties of salt have been well studied and well documented. Halotherapy originates from Speleotherapy (cave therapy) and the Wieliczka salt cave in Poland, where workers exhibited fewer respiratory illnesses.
Where Ancient Therapy Meets Modern Practices
The difference between Speleotherapy and Halotherapy:
Speleotherapy- a therapeutic method that utilizes the unique microclimate of underground salt caves and salt mines to alleviate the symptoms of several respiratory problems and skin conditions.
Halotherapy, otherwise known as Dry Salt Therapy, uses modern technology (a HALOGENERATOR ) to reproduce the therapeutic conditions found in natural salt caves in a modern, spa-like room. Salt Therapy patients sit in comfortable chairs and listen to soothing music, while breathing in superfine particles of salt that cleanse the lungs of bacteria, irritants, and pollution; and reduce inflammation of the respiratory tract.
Halotherapy was invented in 1982 in Russia. Since then, thousands of patients have been successfully treated in Russia, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Canada, UK, Australia, USA, Ireland, UAE, and Indonesia.
Breathe Yoga Salt strives to be the premier holistic Halotherapy destination in the midwest to encourage people to use Halotherapy as a natural and affordable approach to heal the respiratory tract.
